Not only did McCain lost his advantage in the polls, but he is attacking Obama in order to get some support by making his opponent look bad. He is raising questions about Obama's background and questioning his truthfulness. Palin is also questioning Obama's Patriotism while raising questions about his connections to William Ayer. Obama reacted by saying that McCain is the only truly angry candidate in this race. Why shouldnt McCain be angry he lost the edge that he had ? A new national poll shows Obama getting a greater edge over McCain. The public precentage of Palin has decreased which is contributing to Obama. McCain is also blaming Obama for the Bailout delay; he claims that Obama didnt act for the problem since he suspended his campaign to focus on the crisis. Obama reacted by saying that when the crisis emerged McCain was the only candidate still trying to "turn the page" by releasing frustrating tirade against him. Obama says that McCain is just trying to ignore the economic crisis because it would hurt the Republican campaign nominee. Obama says that his actions toward the problem was that he encouraged Congress to work on a second stimulus package that would provide direct relief from high gas and food prices.
McCain is trying to raise his supports but he is doing it in a way to make his supporters think less of him, even those who are not sure about considering him. Obama is not taking such drastic measures which may explain why his popularity is rising and the fact that he know how to act under pressure. When McCain was in the lead he didnt change his character, unlike McCain who may be damaging his image.
