Ever since the election Obama and McCain are stepping up their negative ads about each other to try to win over the narrowing margin of undecided voters. More than 25% of the voters in the last presidential election identified their selves as independents. For Democratic and Republican parties the outcomes are predictable. So its up to the swing votes who really decides on who carry the balance of power. Obama's campaign shows a documentary that tries to draw a parallel between McCain involvement in the "Keating Five" scandal and the current economic crisis. McCain campaign is raising questions about Obama's ties to Bill Ayers; which is the foundingof the radical Weather Underground Alaska Gov.) Pallin is also accusing Obama of "palling around with terrorists who target their own country. John Avion, author of Independent Nation warned that both candidates need to be careful because of hypocrisy is the unforgivable sin in politics. Independent voters are very sensitive to when politics take a negative turn.
Although each candidate has the right method it could easily back fire. McCain lost his lead so his methods are almost predictable. Obama just have to not be too harsh otherwise the difference between him and his opponent would be hard to distinguish. McCain methods are too harsh and he is already loosing the appeal from Palin so his plan is kind of falling apart.
McCain has been doing his best to appear as such a hero in the audience’s eye. For a example he is using his action to suspend his campaign as something so glorifying when there is no solution to the Bail out Plan. Another example is how he is so modest about his life in the militart, however he is using it as a edge. It is a very tactic approach, but it is hard to criticize one candidate when both candidates are trying to win an election.
